Industrial Electrician Supervisor Mining & Metals IndustryLocation: Within a 2-hour drive of The Thousand Islands, Lake Ontario, Adirondack Mountains, and near world-class skiing in Lake Placid, NY. Proximity to Canada, with Montreal and Ottawa 2-3 hours away.Experience Level: Mid-Senior Experience Required: 5+ years in industrial electrical roles, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership position. Industry: Mining & Metals Relocation Assistance: AvailableJob Summary: A leading mining operation is seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician Supervisor to manage the electrical team at its underground zinc mining site. This role combines hands-on troubleshooting with team management, and the ideal candidate will bring extensive knowledge in industrial electrical systems, including PLCs, DC/AC drives, and high-voltage equipment.Key Responsibilities:Oversee and manage the daily operations of the electrical team, prioritizing and coordinating tasks effectively.Plan and schedule work, managing inventory and ordering materials as needed for upcoming projects.Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including PLC panels, drives, motors, transformers, fans, pumps, and generators.Work with various electrical components including 4-20 mA, 4160, 13.8, AC up to 480v, 5kva, and DC voltages.Interpret and follow electrical schematics and prints.Assist with tasks both underground and on the surface as needed.Develop expertise in hoisting and crushing operations, troubleshooting these systems as required.Qualifications:Minimum of 5 years in industrial electrical work, including at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.Proficiency in troubleshooting and working with PLCs, DC/AC drives, and high-voltage equipment.Strong communication skills to collaborate with department managers and team members.Effective time management and organizational skills.Ability to follow written and verbal instructions safely and efficiently.Must be eligible to work in the United States.Benefits:Competitive compensation package, including overtime and holiday rates.401K Retirement Plan with employer contributions of 5% of gross wages weekly.Comprehensive healthcare coverage through Excellus Medical with low employee contributions, along with free vision, dental, and life insurance.Paid vacation, holidays, and sick time.Required Skills: Proven industrial electrical experience (5+ years).
