Job description
This position is responsible for plan utilization of facilities, equipment, material and personnel to improve efficiency of operations. Establish work measurement programs and analyze work samples to develop standards for labor utilization. May include time and motion studies. Recommend methods for improving worker efficiency and reduce waste of materials such as restructuring job duties, reorganizing workflow, relocating workstations and equipment, and purchase of equipment. Overall applies engineering techniques to design, develop, test, and evaluate integrated systems for managing industrial production processes including human work factors, quality control, inventory control, logistics and material flow, cost analysis, and production coordination.
Design, develop, and implement efficient manufacturing and operational processes.
This includes streamlined quoting responsibilities for new product launches and bidding for new business.
Analyze production data to identify areas for cost reduction, waste elimination, and performance improvement.
Develop process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions.
Conduct time studies, workflow analysis, and capacity planning to balance workloads and maximize resource utilization.
Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies to optimize performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, supply chain, and maintenance to solve problems and implement improvements.
Design and manage layout changes, equipment placements, and ergonomically sound workstations.
Monitor and evaluate the implementation of process improvements and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Support capital projects, new product introductions, and technology upgrades.
This includes leading the Norican Disa showcase located at Castalloy.
Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and ROI analyses for management review.
