About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Industrial Engineer to join their operational team in Welkom . This is an on-site position focused on enhancing the efficiency and productivity of our industrial processes. You will be responsible for analyzing existing operations, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing innovative solutions to drive cost savings and optimize resource utilization. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver eager to contribute to a team that values precision, efficiency, and continuous improvement in a tangible, hands-on environment.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct thorough analyses of production lines, workflows, and plant operations to pinpoint inefficiencies.
Design and implement process improvements using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
Develop and maintain operational standards, procedures, and performance metrics.
Collaborate closely with production, maintenance, and management teams to ensure successful implementation of new processes and systems.
Manage small-sized engineering projects from conception through to completion.
Evaluate and recommend new equipment or technology to improve operational capabilities.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a closely related field.
1-3 years of experience in an industrial engineering or operations role.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and process improvement techniques.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis.
Good communication and teamwork skills, essential for an on-site role.
