Location: Greater Boston, MA
Salary: $90,000-$120,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications
Occupational Services, Inc. (OSI) is seeking an Industrial Hygienist/EHS Consultant to support clients throughout the Greater Boston area. This role combines hands-on industrial hygiene work with ongoing management of customer safety programs. You will work directly with clients to identify hazards, develop practical solutions, and help them maintain effective EHS programs.
Responsibilities
Plan and conduct exposure assessments, including air sampling, noise monitoring, and ventilation evaluations.
Evaluate chemical, biological, and physical hazards and recommend appropriate controls.
Develop and manage customer safety programs, procedures, and written plans.
Conduct EHS audits, workplace inspections, and risk assessments; document findings and track corrective actions.
Develop and deliver employee safety training.
Assist clients with permit applications, renewals, and related EHS documentation.
Prepare clear technical reports and communicate recommendations to client leadership and employees.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher in industrial hygiene, environmental health, occupational safety, chemistry, biology, or a related field.
3-5 years of industrial hygiene experience.
Experience conducting exposure assessments and writing technical reports.
Ability to manage multiple client projects and communicate effectively with a range of audiences.
Experience supporting laboratory, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or semiconductor operations is a plus.
Consulting experience and progress toward CIH certification are pluses.
