Industrial Insulation & Fabrication TechnicianWe are seeking an Industrial Insulation & Fabrication Technician to join our federal team at our York, PA location. Responsible for maintaining a safe, clean and organized 6S environment. Responsible for participating in continuous improvement and Lean Kaizen Events. Understanding the criticality of proper quality-controlled documentation. Knowledge and proficiency in print reading. Responsible for operating overhead/jib cranes and rigging of products. Responsible for reviewing and signing timecards weekly. Accountable for adhering to and promoting compliance with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) protocols to ensure a safe and compliant work environment. Certain conditions apply.Learn more about Navy Systems York, PA Plant: Navy Systems, York PAAs an Insulator, you will:Working from complex mechanical, piping, and isometric drawingsProducing products from prints, standard work, and routersWorking from engineering standardsWorking with cross-functional teamsDocument Quality-Controlled Inspections (QCI)Mathematical fabrication to accurately obtain valuesPrecision work for high-quality repeatabilityMeasure, cut & fit to round, flat surfacesBevel, Miter, Fish Mouth, InsulationAcoustic Insulation: Layout and cut insulation for minimum wasteInstall using pin welder or bandingSome situations require glue and laggingCaulking seamsThermal Insulation: Layout for minimum wasteAttach insulation per requirements using glue adhesiveAttach insulation to fit round and flat surfacesApply lagging cloth utilizing Vimasco adhesive or 520 adhesive as requiredApply fire retardant paint to lagging cloth per print requirementsApply dampening tiles with two-part epoxy as requiredTubular Insulation: Cut and apply insulation as requiredApply lagging cloth per print requirementsApply lagging cloth utilizing Vimasco adhesive or 520 adhesive as requiredApply fire retardant paint to lagging cloth per print requirementsTOOLS: Tape Measure, Straight Edge/Square, Level, Hand, power tools, Ladders/Scaffolding, Dial Indicators, Micrometers, Material Handling Equipment, Banding equipment, Pin Welder, Caulk Gun, Various Knives, Knife Sharpener, Dividers/Compass, Paint Shaker (Mix Glue), Glue Applicators
