Job description
Maintenance Technician (Millwright)We are seeking experienced Maintenance Technicians (Millwrights) to support the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of industrial manufacturing equipment in a heavy manufacturing environment.ResponsibilitiesPerform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on industrial production equipment.Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.Read and interpret blueprints, hydraulic schematics, and technical drawings.Install, maintain, and repair piping systems, valves, cylinders, fittings, and related equipment.Diagnose equipment failures and respond to maintenance breakdowns to minimize downtime.Perform equipment disassembly, inspections, repairs, and reassembly.Utilize welding and fabrication equipment including MIG welders, stick welders, cutting torches, and pipe fabrication tools.Safely perform rigging, lifting, and equipment moves using chain falls, come-alongs, forklifts, man lifts, and overhead cranes.Document maintenance activities, repairs, and work orders in a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).Follow all company safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), PPE requirements, fall protection, and confined space protocols.Essential SkillsIndustrial mechanical maintenance or millwright experience.Strong troubleshooting skills with mechanical and hydraulic equipment.Welding and fabrication experience (MIG, Stick, Torch Cutting).Experience with pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, motors, piping systems, and hydraulic components.Knowledge of rigging and equipment installation.Ability to use precision measuring tools and standard millwright hand tools.Experience working in heavy industrial manufacturing environments such as steel, paper, chemical, power generation, shipyard, lumber, or similar industries.Previous experience with Maximo or other CMMS software is a plus.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED.Ability to pass a mechanical aptitude assessment.Ability to pass a hands-on practical skills assessment.Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, overtime, and holidays as needed.Why Work Here?Anniversary % rate increases at 1 year up to 8 yearsShift differential % for evening shiftsWeekly incentive % bonuses for meeting production and safety targetsPremium pay when work offered on Sunday or holidaysCompany profit sharePaid Vacation, Sick, and HolidaysAnnual safety boot and safety prescription eyewear allowanceExcellent health, dental, & vision coverage with a $0 company-paid health and dental optionCompany-paid Life and Disability benefit401(K) retirement plan including $1 for $1 company match up to 5% of earningsCompany-paid training & certification, tuition reimbursement, wellness program incentives, employee recognition bonuses, IDEA program bonusesWork EnvironmentThe role is based in a heavy industrial, non-climate-controlled facility where temperatures vary with the seasons, resulting in hot conditions in summer and cold conditions in winter. Personal protective equipment must be worn at all times, and safety practices are strictly followed. The position operates on a rotating schedule of four days on and four days off, with 12-hour shifts running from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. The environment is hands-on, fast-paced, and production-focused, with an emphasis on safe, efficient maintenance of large industrial machinery.Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Panama City, FL.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $ - $ /yr.
