Job description
Now hiring for a full-time Industrial Painter.
Responsible for preparing surfaces, selecting and mixing paints, and applying coatings to materials such as steel, aluminum, concrete, and machinery.
Duties include:
Surface Preparation: Cleaning, sanding, media-blasting, chemical etching, and force-drying surfaces to ensure proper paint adhesion
Paint Mixing and Application: Measuring and mixing paints to specifications using viscosity cups, thickness gauges, and gloss meters; applying coatings with brushes, rollers, airbrushes, or spray equipment
Equipment Maintenance: Cleaning and maintaining painting tools and machinery, ensuring proper function and safety
Quality Control: Inspecting finished work for uniformity, thickness, and adherence to specifications, often using technical tools
Safety Compliance: Using protective gear, ensuring proper ventilation, and following occupational health and safety guidelines
Work Prioritization: Organizing tasks efficiently to meet project deadlines and maintain workflow
