Job description
We are looking for a Commercial/Industrial Painter to perform sandblasting, surface preparation, priming and painting of structural steel, aluminum assemblies and other manufactured components.
Responsibilities
• Operate spray guns to apply primers and finish coats to industrial, commercial and automotive-related products.
• Perform sand blasting and surface preparation of structural steel and aluminum assemblies.
• Sand, prep, clean and mask surfaces to ensure smooth, even paint application.
• Apply carbon-zinc coatings, water-based paints and other industrial coatings according to specifications.
• Load and unload parts from racks and workstations.
• Inspect painted surfaces to ensure quality and conformance to specifications.
• Maintain spray guns, paint booths and related equipment in serviceable condition.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and specifications.
• Basic math skills.
• Experience with sandblasting and surface preparation preferred.
• Ability to lift, move and handle parts and assemblies safely.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently with a high level of initiative.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Proactive with strong problem-solving abilities.
