Job description
Commercial/Industrial PainterWe are looking for a Commercial/Industrial Painter to perform sandblasting, surface preparation, priming and painting of structural steel, aluminum assemblies and other manufactured components. Responsibilities include operating spray guns to apply primers and finish coats to industrial, commercial and automotive-related products. Perform sand blasting and surface preparation of structural steel and aluminum assemblies. Sand, prep, clean and mask surfaces to ensure smooth, even paint application. Apply carbon-zinc coatings, water-based paints and other industrial coatings according to specifications. Load and unload parts from racks and workstations. Inspect painted surfaces to ensure quality and conformance to specifications. Maintain spray guns, paint booths and related equipment in serviceable condition. Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED required. Ability to read and follow work instructions and specifications. Basic math skills. Experience with sandblasting and surface preparation preferred. Ability to lift, move and handle parts and assemblies safely.Skills and competencies include strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to work independently with a high level of initiative. Good organizational and time management skills.
