Job description
PainterVolt is immediately hiring a Painter in Ontario, OH 44906 As a Painter, you will:Key Responsibilities:Apply coatings such as paint, varnish, stain, enamel, or lacquer to protect and finish surfacesWork primarily in a blast booth to remove rust, old paint, and debris from metal partsPrepare surfaces using sandpaper, brushes, steel wool, scrapers, or other toolsFollow work orders and instructions from supervisors to complete jobs accuratelyEnsure surfaces are clean and smooth before painting.You'll start working full-time in the blast booth until you're fully trainedOver time, you'll transition into painting, with a goal of spending no more than 50% of your time blastingNo prior experience required — we'll train the right person. Must be aware that role is physically demanding.The hose has a lot of air/blast media going thew it and the operator must control it.This is a full-time, contract opportunity.The ideal candidate will have:Required Skills & Qualifications:High school diploma/GEDResilience (can be a tough job)Communication (we understand it's hard, just ask for help)Collaboration (the booth is a multiman operation)Industrial setting working with metal materialsBlast booth work requires wearing a full-body enclosed suit with supplied airThis is a physically demanding role — you'll be handling high-pressure blasting equipmentPay Range: $19.00 to $21.39 per hour*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.Benefits: Volt offers benefits (based on eligibility) that include the following: health, dental, vision, term life, short term disability, AD&D, 401(k), Sick time, and other types of paid leaves (as required by law), Employee Assistance Program (EAP).Volt is an Equal Opportunity Employer and prohibits any kind of unlawful discrimination and harassment.
