Job description
Industrial Process PainterIndustrial Process Painter Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Prepare metal surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, masking, and repairing surface imperfections.Mix paints and coatings according to manufacturer specifications and production requirements.Apply industrial coatings using conventional and/or HVLP spray equipment.Inspect painted components to ensure proper coverage, finish quality, and compliance with engineering drawings and specifications.Rework or reapply paint as necessary to meet quality standards.Mask areas that should remain free of paint during the application process.Set up and tear down tooling and fixturing required for production runs.Maintain inventory of paints, coatings, and painting supplies.Follow all quality control procedures and maintain accurate production documentation.Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to all safety policies and procedures.Industrial Process Painter Requirements:High school diploma or GED required.Minimum of two (2) years of experience applying wet paint using conventional or HVLP spray equipment.Ability to read, interpret, and understand blueprints and engineering drawings.Experience setting up and removing tooling and fixturing used during production.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Regularly lift and carry 10–15 pounds.Occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.Ability to stand, bend, reach, and perform repetitive movements throughout the shift.Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators as needed.About us: QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
