Job description

Industrial Surface Mine ElectricianThe Industrial Surface Mine Electrician is responsible for the electrical repair and maintenance for machinery and equipment associated with conveyor systems, pumps, crushers and other equipment at an aggregate production facility.Responsibilities:Maintains and troubleshoots electrical equipment and power distribution throughout the plantEstablishes the appropriate procedure to locate and correct electrical problems, and determines electrical component replacementsPerforms high and low voltage splices, terminations and stress conesInstalls and maintains high, medium and low voltage power controls on equipmentPerforms necessary maintenance to the equipment and machinery to repair or replace the defective partsTroubleshoots electrical problems in power circuits 120 - 12,470 volts, in addition to control circuits of various voltages and repair transformers and circuit breakersMay perform a variety of electrical tests to determine exact cause of issuePerforms adjustments and calibration procedures on various forms of process equipmentPerforms preventative maintenance as instructed on all equipment/machineryCollaborates with other department, providing necessary electrical support to ensure day-to-day maintenance issues are resolved; maintains an electronic log of any highlights occurring during shift coveragePerforms work area inspectionPerforms other duties as assignedEducation:High school diploma/GEDRequirements/Qualifications:Experience in the Industrial Electrical field and troubleshooting techniquesFamiliarity with NFP 70E, basic AC and C controls and terminology of tools, prints and equipmentMust have proven experience and ability in mechanical, electrical and electronic maintenance troubleshooting techniquesAble to work effectively both independently and as part of a teamAble to read and comprehend electrical blueprints and schematicsStrong computer, interpersonal and problem-solving skillsGood driving recordAbility to travel to other locations to provide supportAbility to work overtime, night and weekend work as needed including responding to emergency callsConditions of Employment:Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require FMCSA regulated on-going drug and alcohol testing.Location: Snoqualmie, WA, US, 98065
