Infection Control/Wound Care Nurse RN
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled RN Infection Control Nurse/Wound Care Nurse to join our dedicated team at Civita Care Center at Long Ridge, the area's leading provider of sub-acute rehabilitation.
As an Infection Preventionist/Wound Care Nurse, you will play a critical role in managing, controlling and preventing infections; promote healing, and improve patient outcomes through expert clinical care and education. Our physician-driven programs are designed to address the individual needs of each resident, ensuring maximum recovery potential.
Responsibilities:
Monitor and support infection prevention practices
Assess, treat, and document wound care plans
Educate staff, patients, and families on infection control protocols
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards
Qualifications:
Active nursing license with the ability to practice in Connecticut
Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
Infection Control and/or Wound care experience preferred is a plus
Strong attention to detail with a focus on patient safety and quality care
