Our client, a reputable and growing healthcare organization, is hiring a dedicated Infectious Disease Physician leader to join a vibrant, multidisciplinary team committed to delivering exceptional patient care. This position offers an excellent opportunity to serve a diverse patient population while contributing to innovative programs in infectious disease management. Seeking a qualified Infectious Disease physician-focused on general infectious disease practice, in a leadership capacity emphasizing inpatient care and team oversight. It is a teaching environment. The role involves providing comprehensive outpatient services, especially HIV primary care, alongside inpatient responsibilities. The environment is dynamic, collaborative, and mission-driven, emphasizing community health impact and patient-centered care.
Responsibilities:
Provide inpatient and outpatient infectious disease care, including HIV management and PrEP.
Participate in a shared call rotation of 1:3, predominantly telephonic.
Serve as a core faculty member involved in teaching and mentoring residents and house staff.
Engage in leadership activities (for leadership role) to support program growth, policy development, and team coordination.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, including nurses, diabetic educators, and case managers.
Maintain certifications as needed and pursue additional training in HIV or antibiotic stewardship if applicable.
Contribute to program development efforts funded through recent grants, including support services expansion.
Requirements: Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
Board-certified or eligible in Infectious Diseases.
Strong clinical experience in infectious disease management.
Prior experience or interest in HIV care, certification preferred.
Excellent communication skills, cultural competence, and ability to work within a diverse patient population.
Bilingual candidates, particularly Spanish-speaking, are highly preferred.
Ability and willingness to obtain or hold relevant certifications, including HIV certification.
Leadership experience is desired.
