Approximately 8-Hour Shifts
Weekday Coverage at One Hospital
Weekend Coverage Across Two Hospitals
No Call
Provider Must Be Available for at Least 3 Coverage Blocks

Patient Population / Volume
Adult Patients and Some Pediatric Patients
Average Census: Approximately 15 Patients at Each Hospital
Weekdays: Approximately 1-3 New Consults Per Day
Weekends: Approximately 4-6 Follow-Up Patients at Each Hospital
Weekends: Approximately 3-6 New Consults Across Both Hospitals Combined
Clinical Responsibilities
Provide Inpatient Infectious Disease Coverage
Perform Infectious Disease Consultations
Provide Follow-Up Care for Infectious Disease Patients
Round on Hospitalized Patients
Cover One Hospital During Weekday Assignments
Provide Coverage Across Both Hospitals During Weekend Assignments
Requirements
Board Certified in Infectious Disease - Strongly Preferred
Board Eligible Candidates May Be Considered
Active California Medical License - Required
Candidates Requiring Licensure Will Not Be Accepted
California DEA With Schedule II/IIN Authority - Required
Minimum of 4-5 Years of Experience as an Infectious Disease Physician - Required
Must Be Able to Cover at Least 3 of the Listed Coverage Blocks
COVID-19 Vaccination and Booster - Required
Medical or Religious COVID-19 Vaccine Exemptions May Be Considered
Submission Requirements
Specific Available Coverage Dates Must Be Included in the Presentation
Credentialing
Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 45-60 Days
