The Reverification Specialist is responsible for assisting with the coordination and processing of all incoming referrals, patient reorders and flipping of the schedule. Additional tasks include ensuring no insurance or manufacturer portal gaps for benefits. The Reverification Specialist is expected to perform the flipping of the daily schedule and be out at least ten (10) business days ahead of the current day of the infusion schedule.ResponsibilitiesObtain eligibility and benefit information from medical insurance companiesUse insurance online portals for insurance verificationSpeak to insurance companies regarding specific drugs to determine coverageAnswer incoming calls and deal with inquiriesRespond and comply to requests for informationComplete other clerical duties as assigned.Safeguard patient privacy and confidentialityQualificationsMust be able to work Monday-Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.Insurance eligibility and benefits experienceHigh school diplomaGreat customer service skillsA neat, professional appearanceKnowledge of computer and relevant software applications (NextGen a plus)Knowledge of general clerical proceduresWorking knowledge of healthcare insurance required
