VIC the PICC ("VTP") is a specialized healthcare provider focused on vascular access consulting services to acute care hospitals, skilled nursing facilities and home healthcare. We provide vascular access device insertion services, post access support services including declotting, line removal, port access and venous access troubleshooting. VTP also provides continuing education, precepting and other educational support to clinical team members and customers.

Job Description
As an Infusion Nurse, you will provide high-quality infusion therapy to patients across various care settings, including hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, LTACs, outpatient centers, and homes. You will manage infusion treatments using vascular access devices and ensure safe, effective, and personalized nursing care. You will also educate patients and caregivers on infusion therapies, monitor patient responses, and troubleshoot complications as needed.
This is a Part Time position consisting of three to four 5-hour shifts per week, with shifts starting at 7:00 PM PST.
Key Responsibilities
Administer a broad range of infusion therapies according to physician orders, including IV medications, and hydration.
Provide one-on-one infusion nursing care and patient education.
Monitor patients for infusion reactions, intolerance, or complications.
Adjust infusion rates as ordered and troubleshoot infusion pumps.
Perform flushing, dressing assessment, and routine maintenance of lines while ensuring line integrity.
Accurately document all infusion activities, assessments, and patient teaching.
Report concerns about line integrity or complications to the appropriate provider.
Educate patients and caregivers on therapy expectations and post-infusion care.
Travel to multiple patient sites while following safety and infection control protocols.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care and effective patient outcomes.
In addition to infusion therapy, the Infusion Nurse may periodically support additional clinical duties, including peripheral IV placement, PICC and CVC declotting and troubleshooting, PICC and midline care, IV pump support, and education of nursing staff on vascular access devices.
Scheduling
In this role, Infusion Specialists visit patients in different customer facilities and therefore must be willing to travel to customer facilities and able to fulfill scheduling requirements as indicated based on business needs. Part Time scheduling requirements include four days per week, including weekends, and participation in the holiday rotation.
Required Qualifications
Registered Nurse with current license
Current CPR Certification
American Heart BLS Certification
Prior experience with infusion therapy, with exposure to IV medication administration and hydration.
Strong knowledge of vascular access devices, including care, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Ability to work independently and fulfill scheduling requirements as indicated by job classification
Valid driver's license, active auto insurance, and reliable transportation for travel to patient sites
Must possess a smart phone
Must LOVE Infusion Therapy
Preferred Qualifications
Ultrasound guided PIV experience
Minimum of 3 years' experience in acute care
Compensation Is Based On Candidate Experience And Relevant Certifications.
Hourly Pay Range: $40 USD - $60 USD
