Join Our Team as an Injection Molding Process Technician at Johnson Electric!Location: Springfield, TN (onsite)Schedule: 2nd shiftAs our next Injection Molding Process Technician, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting the setup, operation, and maintenance of injection molding machines used in automotive manufacturing. Your interest in mechanical systems, manufacturing processes, safety, and quality control will be essential as you complete technical training and develop the skills required for a successful career as an Injection Molding Technician.Why You'll Love Working Here:Recognition Programs: Programs that recognize and reward employee achievements and contributions.Community Engagement: Opportunities to participate in community service and corporate social responsibility initiatives.Strong Leadership: Work under experienced and visionary leaders who guide the company towards success.Innovation Hubs: Access to state-of-the-art facilities and innovation hubs that foster creativity and development.What You'll Be Doing:Assist with the setup and operation of injection molding machines and related equipmentLearn to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve basic machine and process issues under supervisionPerform routine inspections and quality checks to ensure molded parts meet specificationsDocument production data accurately and report process deviations to the supervisorFollow established work instructions, operating procedures, and safety requirementsMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentSupport routine equipment care and basic maintenance activitiesCollaborate with technicians, supervisors, and production team membersParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and productivityComplete required classroom and hands-on technical training through the apprenticeship programWhat We're Looking For:High school diploma or GEDEnrollment or willingness to enroll in the Injection Molding Technician program at the Tennessee College of Applied TechnologyStrong mechanical aptitude and interest in manufacturing processesAbility to follow detailed instructions and established proceduresBasic mathematical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentStrong commitment to workplace safety, product quality, and continuous learningGood communication and teamwork skillsAbility to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 poundsComfort working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat and noiseBonus Points If You Have:Previous manufacturing, mechanical, or technical experienceCoursework or hands-on experience involving industrial equipment or injection moldingFamiliarity with measuring instruments and basic quality inspection practicesExperience participating in technical, vocational, or skilled-trades trainingInterest in pursuing a long-term career in automotive manufacturingTraining and Career Development:Complete classroom and hands-on training focused on injection molding fundamentals, machine setup, safety, and quality controlReceive on-the-job instruction and mentoring from experienced technicians and supervisorsDevelop practical troubleshooting, inspection, and equipment operation skillsBuild the technical competencies required to advance into an Injection Molding Technician positionSuccessful completion of the apprenticeship may lead to full-time employment and additional advancement opportunities in automotive manufacturingCome join our global, inclusive & diverse teamOur purpose is to improve the quality of life of everyone we touch through our innovative motion systems.
