Injection Well SupervisorWaste Connections – JED Landfill Location: St. Cloud, FL Pay Range: $90,000/yr + 10% cash bonusWaste Connections is hiring!We are looking for a hands-on Injection Well Supervisor to lead the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of JED Landfill's injection well and leachate management systems. This role is responsible for overseeing daily well operations, environmental compliance, regulatory reporting, equipment reliability, and the development of a team of four operators. This opportunity is ideal for a proven leader who thrives in field operations and enjoys balancing technical oversight with team leadership.Why Join Us?Competitive Pay & Bonus StructureCareer Growth – Leadership visibility and advancement opportunitiesExcellent Benefits:Medical, Dental, Vision401(k) with company matchPaid Time Off & HolidaysStrong Company Culture – Built on integrity, safety, and teamworkThe Role (What You'll Do)Key Responsibilities:Lead and supervise a team of four operators responsible for injection well and leachate management operationsOversee daily operation of injection wells, pumps, force mains, storage tanks, and associated infrastructureMonitor injection volumes, pressures, flow rates, and well performance to ensure permit complianceMaintain accurate operational records, regulatory reports, and compliance documentationCoordinate environmental monitoring, sampling, inspections, and reporting activitiesDrive a safety-first culture and ensure adherence to company policies and environmental regulationsDevelop employee skills through coaching, training, and performance managementCoordinate preventative and corrective maintenance activities to maximize system reliabilityTroubleshoot operational and equipment issues while minimizing downtimeManage inventory, vendor relationships, and contractor activities as neededPartner with landfill operations, engineering, environmental, and maintenance teams to support site objectivesSupport audits, agency inspections, permit compliance activities, and continuous improvement initiativesAdditional Expectations:Provide on-call leadership support during operational upsets or emergency situationsAbility to balance field presence with administrative and reporting responsibilitiesParticipate in safety investigations, corrective actions, and environmental response efforts as neededWhat We Need From YouRequired Qualifications:High school diploma or GED5+ years of experience in landfill leachate management, injection well operations, wastewater treatment, environmental operations, or related industrial operationsPrevious supervisory or crew leadership experienceStrong knowledge of pumps, pressure systems, piping networks, tanks, and fluid handling equipmentExperience with environmental compliance, permitting, and operational reportingStrong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office applicationsPreferred Qualifications:Class I injection well experienceLandfill leachate management experienceKnowledge of Florida environmental regulations and permitting requirementsMechanical troubleshooting and maintenance planning experienceOSHA or other safety leadership trainingCore Competencies:Strong leadership and team-building skillsAbility to hold employees accountable while fostering developmentExcellent troubleshooting and decision-making abilityStrong organizational and time management skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentEffective written and verbal communication skillsTo be considered for any of our current openings, you must complete an application.We Keep Our Promises!
