Job description
Seeking an experienced Clinical Pharmacist with expertise in inpatient care to fill a Staff Pharmacist role in Richmondville, NY. Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee medication therapy for inpatients, ensuring safe and effective drug use
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
Review medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness
Provide clinical drug information and education to medical staff and patients
Monitor patient progress and adjust medications as necessary
Participate in pharmacy department quality improvement initiatives and compliance with regulatory standards
Desired Experience and Qualifications: Active pharmacist license in the applicable state
Proven experience as an inpatient clinical pharmacist or staff pharmacist in a hospital or healthcare facility
Strong knowledge of pharmacology, therapeutics, and drug interactions
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and pharmacy management systems
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
