Inpatient Hospital Clinical Pharmacist - Leesville, LA

Licenses/Certifications: State pharmacy licensure, BLS or ACLS, PALS (for pediatric cases)
Experience: Hospital experience preferred; new graduates with clinical rotation experience encouraged to apply
Pay & Benefits:
Hourly Rate: $82.00/hr

What You'll Do:
Prepare and dispense medications accurately per physician requests
Verifying and transcribing drug orders into electronic medical records
Compound pharmaceuticals, including sterile and non-sterile products
Manage controlled substances records and ensure compliance
Provide clinical consultation on drug therapies and monitor patient responses
Support anticoagulation management and pharmacokinetics consults
Supervise pharmacy support personnel and verify technician activities
Participate in quality improvement and medication review activities
Educate patients and their families on medication use
Assist in drug formulary management and therapeutic protocol adherence
Ensure compliance with licensing, licensure updates, and continuing education
What You Need:
Valid pharmacy license in Louisiana
BLS or ACLS certification required; PALS preferred
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or BS Pharmacy degree
Previous hospital or clinical experience is preferred
Strong attention to detail and patient care focus
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
