Cape Fear Valley Health is seeking a dedicated OB/GYN Hospitalist to join our expanding inpatient women's services program in Fayetteville, North Carolina. This opportunity offers a collaborative physician-led care model with strong advanced practice provider support, high-volume obstetrical services, and access to comprehensive maternal-fetal and neonatal resources within a growing regional healthcare system.
This position is ideal for physicians seeking a hospital-based practice focused on labor and delivery coverage, inpatient obstetrics and gynecology care, and collaborative team-based medicine.

Full-time and per diem OB/GYN Hospitalists

Qualifications
Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy degree required
Completion of an accredited OB/GYN Residency program
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology
Board Certification required within established eligibility window
Eligible for or licensed to practice medicine in North Carolina
Willingness to obtain North Carolina licensure if currently out of state
Responsibilities
The OB/GYN Hospitalist will provide comprehensive inpatient obstetrical and gynecologic care, including:
Provide labor and delivery coverage and inpatient obstetrical management
Evaluate and manage obstetrical triage patients and inpatient gynecologic consultations
Perform vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and emergency obstetrical procedures as needed
Manage obstetrical emergencies and collaborate closely with anesthesia, neonatal, nursing, and surgical teams
Provide postpartum and inpatient gynecologic care
Assist with surgical backup and emergent gynecologic procedures when indicated
Collaborate effectively with community OB/GYN physicians and outpatient providers to ensure continuity of care
Maintain timely and accurate documentation within the Epic electronic medical record
Communicate effectively with patients and families regarding treatment plans and care coordination
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, patient safety programs, and evidence-based practice initiatives
Support patient experience initiatives and service excellence standards
