Academic Appointment with the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine-ideal if you enjoy teaching and mentoring
Work closely with psychiatry residents and medical students , shaping the next generation of physicians
Opportunities to participate in research and contribute to advancing psychiatric care
Be part of a system with 13 residency programs and 16 fellowships , including Psychiatry, Addiction Medicine, and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
Meaningful Clinical Work-With Balance
Manage a focused inpatient caseload (10-12 patients/day)
Treat an acute adult population in a high acuity, short-duration environment
Lead a multidisciplinary team , enhancing both patient outcomes and your leadership skills
Practice in a setting that values quality over volume , allowing you to deliver thoughtful, patient-centered care

What You Bring
MD or DO from an accredited medical school
Board certification or eligibility (ABPN)
Completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
