UNC Rex - Rex Hospital Main Campus
Location: Raleigh, NC
Position Type: Full-Time | 1.0 FTE | 40 hours/week
Schedule : Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM | Daytime Hours

UNC Health in North Carolina is seeking a psychiatrist to join the team at UNC Rex Hospital's Main Campus in Raleigh, North Carolina. This is an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality inpatient psychiatric care to both adolescent and adult patients while working alongside a collaborative, multidisciplinary team. The position offers a predictable Monday-Friday daytime schedule, making it an excellent opportunity for a psychiatrist looking for meaningful clinical work with a strong work-life balance.
Position Highlights
Full-time position: 1.0 FTE / 40 hours per week
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
Inpatient psychiatric care
Patient population includes adolescents and adults
Collaborative, multidisciplinary clinical environment
Opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a leading health system
Qualifications
MD or DO degree required
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
Eligible for North Carolina medical licensure
Strong clinical judgment, diagnostic skills, and commitment to patient-centered care
Experience working with adolescent and/or adult psychiatric populations preferred
