Job description
Encompass Health is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to support patient progress in our inpatient rehabilitation hospital. In this role, you’ll implement treatment plans under the direction of a Physical Therapist, focusing on stroke, brain and spinal cord injuries, and complex orthopedic conditions. You’ll assist with therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance and mobility activities, and use of assistive devices while monitoring patient safety and response to treatment. You’ll document care, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, educate patients and families, and help patients regain independence in a mission-driven, patient-centered environment.
