Job description
A healthcare facility in Charlotte, MI is seeking a skilled Staff Pharmacist with experience in hospital inpatient pharmacy operations. This contract role offers the opportunity to contribute to patient care by efficiently managing medication dispensing within a hospital setting.
Responsibilities:
Accurately dispense and distribute prescription medications to inpatient hospital units.
Review and verify medication orders for appropriateness and potential interactions.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize pharmacotherapy plans.
Maintain compliance with pharmacy laws, regulations, and hospital policies.
Participate in medication inventory management and control.
Provide guidance and education to nursing staff and patients regarding medication usage.
Document all pharmaceutical services and interventions in patient records.
Qualifications/Desired Experience: Valid pharmacist licensure in the state of Michigan.
Proven experience as a Staff Pharmacist, specifically in a hospital inpatient setting.
Strong knowledge of hospital pharmacy operations and inpatient medication management.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
