Job description
Two Clinical Pharmacist positions are available to work in a pediatric hospital setting, focused on providing expert pharmaceutical care in an inpatient environment. These roles support a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center dedicated to high-quality pediatric healthcare.
Location: Germantown, TN
Job Type: Contract
Shift: Day/Evening 12 pm - 8 pm (Schedule details discussed during interview)
Key Responsibilities:
Provide consultative services and clinical expertise to evaluate and enhance medication use and therapeutic outcomes.
Promote ongoing improvements within the pharmacy's scope of practice.
Process medication orders and prescriptions for physicians and authorized practitioners.
Advise physicians, healthcare staff, residents, and patients to ensure safe medication administration.
Follow and help develop policies and procedures related to medication safety, regulatory compliance, and quality standards.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience: Minimum of 2 years recent experience in pediatric pharmacy practice required.
Strong clinical skills with the ability to consult and collaborate effectively within a pediatric care team.
Sound knowledge of inpatient pharmacy systems and medication safety protocols.
