Job description
Our client, Inside Research Worker is seeking a Inside Research Worker to join their team. As a Inside Research Worker, you will be part of the Assay Development and Characterization team supporting the Trait Transient Assay (TTA) efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team-skills that will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Inside Research Worker
Location: Johnston, IA
Pay Range: $28/hour
Schedule : Monday - Friday, 8am -5pm (40 hrs/wk) - no overtime available
What's the Job?
Support general laboratory operations tasks and assist with experimental execution at the direction of laboratory and/or project leads.
Maintain laboratory facilities and equipment in accordance with laboratory standards, including routine cleaning and organization.
Assist in plant assays, including sampling, bacterial culture maintenance, and plant care, while working in controlled environments (Growth Chambers).
Utilize lab instruments to analyze samples and record results accurately with attention to detail.
Perform lab duties using sterile technique, including standard lab cleaning procedures and plasmid isolations, and help analyze and report data associated with conducted assays.
What's Needed?
Associates (2-yr) required.
New graduates with experience in a laboratory setting are encouraged to apply.
Commitment to excellent safety and risk management practices.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with clear communication and efficient work habits.
Ability to stand for long periods of time and perform physical tasks, including repetitive laboratory duties while staying focused.
