Through our Give Back program, we own our commitment to Social Responsibility and live our purpose of Packaging a Better Future.ResponsibilitiesAs a Packer you must:Maintain safe, clean and friendly work environmentVisually inspect product for quality complianceEnsure that customer requirements are met or exceededMake-up and pack boxes with respective product ensuring that product is not mixedMeet daily production requirementsProperly identify each case that is packedAssist with grinding of scrap materials as requiredAssist with training responsibilities as requiredOther duties as necessaryQualificationsEducation & Experience:High school diploma or equivalent experience in lieu of educationMust be able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations and without posing a threat to the health and safety of fellow employeesAbility to read and understand written specifications, safety issues and interpretation of diagrams for proper packagingAda – Essential Functions:Work an 8 to 12-hour shift, standing and walking for extended periodsClimbHeed safety warnings, devices and alarmsCommunicate effectively both verbally and in writingLift and carry products weighing up to 50 lbs. Occasional lifts up to 75 lbs. All lifts over 75 lbs require 2-person lift or mechanical assistancePossess an adequate ability to do problem solving and establish cause and effect relationships in an office and/or manufacturing environmentLocation:Hazleton is in Luzerne County, scenic Northeastern Pennsylvania, two hours from Philadelphia and New York City.
