Job Description:
SUMMARY
Teaches a full range of skills andknowledge in the Dental Assistant Radiography: Initial Training and DentalRadiography: Radiation Protection Update workshops.
ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS
Implements approved direct Dental Assistant curriculum to enhance the learning options of program participants
Monitors attendance, maintains records, scores and evaluates educational performance of participants
When appropriate identifies and refers participants for supportive services to enhance student success
Performs other duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATIONAND EXPERIENCE/TRAINING Associate of Science with teaching experience in an allied Dental Program
Three years of demonstrated experience as a Dental Assistant
Ohio Dental Assisting Radiographer Certification or RDH
Demonstrated experience with distance education
KNOWLEDGE,SKILLS and ABILITIES Possess excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Demonstrated intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Ability to assess and grade the progress of students
Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
Possess sensitivity to appropriately respond to the needs of a diverse population

The work area is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated;
Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform the duties of the job and will perform repetitive motions with hands/fingers using a computer mouse and keyboard to type. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items such as papers, files, pamphlets, books, etc.;
Work may also require walking and standing in conjunction with travel to and attendance at meetings and conferences away from the worksite
Set-Rate Non-Bargaining Part-Time Position: This is a Part-Time Non-Bargaining Unit Position, with the following Set Rate of Pay: $30.30/ hour.
Special Note: If hired, you must reside in the state of Ohio and be within commuting distance of this work location/campus to respond to onsite work demands upon the employment start date and throughout the duration of your employment with the College, as outlined in 3354:1-40-01.1 Recruitment and Selection Procedure.
