nMajor/Essential Functions:
nnnProvides pediatric anesthesia patient care, clinical anesthesia, and supervision of CRNAs and other trainees.
n
nnMaintains all applicable licenses, controlled substance registrations, hospital privileges, and third payer enrollments in good standing.
n
nnSupervises residents and participates in teaching activities for medical students and/or residents.
n
nnEngages in advancement of scientific knowledge through research and/or scholarship.
n
nnServes the academic community through participation in institutional governance, such as committee work.
n
nnContributes to the community through academically related public service complementary to the institutional mission.
n
nnEnsures compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations.
n
nnAdheres to institutional and departmental policies and procedures.
n
nnUpholds and promotes the values-based culture of TTUHSC EL Paso.
n
nnDemonstrates professionalism in accordance with the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine's declarations of Faculty Professional Responsibility.

n nRequired Qualifications:
nnnMD or DO degree
n
nnTexas medical license, or eligibility for unrestricted Medical Licensure in the State of Texas
n
nnSuccessful completion of an ACGME-accredited residency program in Anesthesiology
n
n nPreferred Qualifications:
nnnBilingual in English and Spanish
n
nnExperience in teaching medical students and residents
n
nnSuccessful completion of an ACGME-accredited fellowship program in Pediatric Anesthesiology
n
nnBoard certified in Pediatric Anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology
n
