Job description

Insulation InstallerThe Insulation Installer is responsible for installing insulation materials on pressure vessels, piping systems, compressors, pumps, heat exchangers, refrigeration equipment, and other mechanical components used in the manufacturing of HVAC chillers and related equipment. This role ensures insulation is accurately measured, cut, shaped, fitted, and installed in accordance with engineering specifications, quality standards, and production requirements to support product performance, energy efficiency, and overall appearance.ResponsibilitiesMeasure, cut, shape, and install insulation materials on pressure vessels, piping systems, compressors, pumps, heat exchangers, and related mechanical equipment.Apply insulation materials using approved adhesives, fastening systems, tapes, and installation methods to ensure secure and durable installation.Ensure insulation is properly fitted around complex equipment, geometries, and mechanical assemblies to maintain performance and energy efficiency.Interpret and follow engineering specifications, drawings, and work instructions related to insulation installation.Verify measurements and spatial fitment to achieve accurate coverage and a clean, professional appearance.Use appropriate tools and equipment to cut, form, and install insulation materials safely and efficiently.Collaborate with production, assembly, and quality teams to meet manufacturing schedules and quality standards.Maintain a safe and organized work area while adhering to all safety guidelines and procedures.Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality, performance, and aesthetic requirements.Support continuous improvement efforts by suggesting enhancements to insulation methods and processes.Essential SkillsPrior experience working as an insulator in installation, manufacturing, assembly, or HVAC environments.Prior experience insulating piping systems, pressure vessels, refrigeration equipment, or industrial machinery.Strong knowledge of adhesives and insulation installation techniques.Proficiency with geometry, measurements, and spatial fitment to work with complex shapes and equipment.Ability to accurately measure, cut, shape, and install insulation materials to tight tolerances.Ability to read and follow technical instructions, specifications, and basic drawings.Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset.Ability to work safely with hand tools, cutting tools, and adhesives in a production environment.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in HVAC chiller manufacturing or related industrial production settings.Background in assembly or fabrication work involving mechanical equipment.Comfort working with complex mechanical assemblies and varied geometries.Ability to collaborate effectively with production and quality teams.Reliability and strong work ethic suited to a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Why Work Here?You join a growing organization that is actively building a strong team for its current facility and planning additional expansion in Arizona, offering long-term stability and advancement opportunities. The standard schedule consists of four 10-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., providing a consistent workweek with three days off. The environment is production-oriented, with an emphasis on safety, quality, and teamwork. Employees wear company-provided work uniforms and appropriate safety footwear supported by an annual safety boot allowance. Work is performed in an industrial setting that requires adherence to safety protocols and proper use of tools and materials.Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Phoenix, AZ.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $28.00/hr.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
