Job description
Insurance AgentSells and markets insurance services and cross sells bank services.Essential Duties:Services existing clientele/prospects.Calls on policyholders to deliver and explain policy, to suggest additions or changes in insurance program or to make changes in beneficiaries.Calls insurance company for insured.Rewrites policies for customers.Prospecting, calling and sales (client development and growth)Continues multi-line account developmentContacts prospective clients and explains features and merits of policies offered, recommending amount and type of coverage based on analysis of prospect's circumstances.Calculates and quotes premium rates for recommended policies.Accurately processes insurance applications and associated forms for policy issue or change processing.Represent company at community events.Non-essential Duties: Other duties as assigned by management.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Excellent customer service skillsThe ability to prioritize and make on-the-spot decisions.Basic knowledge of all bank productsAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work well under pressureAbility to cross sellHigh degree of accuracyStrong communication skillsOrganizational skillsKnowledge of various federal regulationsTraining and Experience:High school diploma or GED requiredOne to two years experience; orEquivalent combination of education and experienceConditions of Employment:Must travel as required.Must pass background check.Property and Casualty State LicensePhysical Requirements:Lifting: Up to 20 pounds.Carrying: Up to 20 pounds.Pushing/Pulling: Up to 20 pounds.Use of Equipment: Computers, telephones, calculators, office equipmentSittingStandingWalkingBendingStoopingCrawlingClimbingReaching Above HeadGrasping:a.
