Job description
Insurance Claims ManagementPerforms various tasks within the insurance team including the monitoring of insurance claims within our portfolio of loans to assure compliance with loan document and/or lender requirements; as well as meeting investor and borrower servicing expectations.ResponsibilitiesEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesManage a portfolio of approximately 80-100 property insurance claims from beginning to completion.Receive and handle incoming claim funds for depositReview of Loan Agreements, third-party reports, and other various loan documents.Review all claim documents such as Statement of Loss, repair contracts, Adjuster Reports, fire reports, etc..Develop and maintain strong relationships by working with borrowers, adjusters, insurance agents, Master Servicers, Lenders/Investors and other interested parties.Utilize and work with vendors as needed.Disburse borrower draw requests by thorough review of invoices and lien waivers in accordance with lender guidelinesAssist with the Newmark Disaster Recovery Reporting ProcessAssist with special projects and additional duties as assigned by management.Initiates and participates in projects, system enhancement design and testing; documents proceduresThis position will be within the Lower Gwynedd, PA office on a hybrid work schedule.Core CompetenciesAnalytical skills; ability to interpret, resolve, and understand implications of complex issuesAccuracy – ensures that data input is correct and input appropriatelyAbility to work independently, make decisions as appropriate, and advise on appropriate course of actionFlexibility - ability to multitask and to shift prioritiesDemonstrated ability to organize & prioritize projects; complete multiple tasks on scheduleAdvanced computer skills, including MS Excel and Word.Ability to identify, implement and promote process improvements in day to day dutiesCustomer Service Skills – ability to manage and respond to customer requestsStrong team, leadership, negotiation and interpersonal skillsStrong communication skills – written and spoken
