Job description
Analyze rights and obligations under insurance policies.
Draft coverage opinions and provide coverage advice to clients.
Conduct legal research and analyze findings.
Draft memoranda.
Prepare and analyze pleadings, discovery, motions, supporting briefs, and legal correspondence regarding insurance coverage litigation.
Meet and confer with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties.
Attend depositions, hearings, and mediations.
Proactively manage matters, deadlines, and client communications.
Provide strategic guidance to insurance companies on first-party and third-party coverage analysis.
Defend against alleged bad faith claims in Washington and other jurisdictions nationwide.
Requirements
Admitted to practice in Washington State.
Experience in insurance coverage and coverage litigation, or a commercial litigation background with an interest in insurance coverage work.
Excellent legal research, writing, and oral communication skills.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to simultaneously handle sensitive and time-sensitive matters.
Effective problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
