Job Title: Insurance Coverage & Extra-Contractual Litigation Attorney | Remote / Hybrid | Up to $195K plus Bonus
Location: Denver, Colorado
Experience: 3+ years
Work Arrangement: Remote / Hybrid
Annual Hours: 1,900
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary: $125K-$195K
Eligible for discretionary and performance-based bonuses

Insurance Coverage & Extra-Contractual Litigation Attorney
Our client, a nationally recognized Am Law 100 law firm , is seeking an Insurance Coverage & Extra-Contractual Litigation Attorney with 3+ years of experience to join its Denver practice. This position is suited for an attorney with experience handling sophisticated coverage disputes, bad-faith claims, and related insurance litigation.
Remote and hybrid work arrangements are available for qualified candidates.
About The Role
The attorney will advise and represent insurers in complex coverage and extra-contractual disputes, with responsibility for coverage analysis, litigation strategy, discovery, depositions, motion practice, and client counseling.
Key Responsibilities
Handle insurance coverage and extra-contractual litigation matters
Analyze policy language, coverage issues, and potential exposure
Manage first-party and third-party coverage disputes
Draft pleadings, dispositive motions, briefs, coverage analyses, and other substantive documents
Develop and manage discovery strategy
Take and defend depositions
Evaluate liability, damages, and litigation risk
Handle matters in state and federal court
Communicate directly with clients regarding coverage positions, strategy, and case developments
Independently manage multiple matters while collaborating with partners and other attorneys
Qualifications
3+ years of insurance coverage, bad-faith, or related litigation experience
Active Colorado Bar admission required
Experience analyzing complex insurance policies and coverage issues
Experience with discovery, depositions, and substantive motion practice
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
Excellent communication and advocacy abilities
Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines independently
Experience in state and federal court is strongly preferred
Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and collaborative
