Job description
Insurance Eligibility SpecialistThis employee works the company's Insurance Eligibility Queue, which identifies when a patient's insurance has termed, as well as any issues with insurance.Works to ensure that the patient's health care benefits cover the required DME equipmentRequired to contact a patient's insurance company to verify coverage levels, deductibles, and out of pocket expenses for DME coverageWorking directly with our patients may be requiredExcellent customer service is a mustEnter data in an accurate mannerUpdate patient benefit information in the insurance system and verify the existing information is accurateRequires the specialist to spend extensive amounts of time on the phone with insurance companies and/or patientsPrior experience working with insurance companies preferredExtensive knowledge of different types of coverage and policiesExcellent multitasking skillsMust be detail-oriented and organized to maintain accurate patient insurance recordsMust have the ability to focus and work quicklyMust work well with othersHigh School diploma or equivalent required1--2 years experience working with patient billing preferred
