Intake Coordinator - Per DiemHospital for Behavioral Medicine - Worcester, MAOverviewSalary Range $25.00 Hourly Position Type Per Diem Job Shift Any Education Level 4 Year DegreeDescriptionJOIN OUR TEAM AS AN INTAKE COORDINATOR - PER DIEM!How will you make a difference?The Intake Coordinator - Per Diem is responsible for assisting in the process of receiving, scheduling and/or referring inquiry calls. Assist the A&R Clinicians, Coordinators and Director with coordinating assessments, initiating Intake paperwork and insurance information. Work to ensure smooth transition into the admission process. Assist in monitoring to assure the safety of the patient.Receive referral calls, obtain minimal demographic information, and refer the call to the appropriate source or schedule an assessment.Process all requests for information and external referrals.Completes pre-certifications as needed.Assist in arranging for admission of patients, including alerting the business office staff to begin the verification of benefits, initiating calls to physicians and other related tasks as directed by the Case Manager.Determine what Releases of Information are needed, and process them accordingly, per policy.Assist in obtaining needed records and information.Assist in maintaining all statistics; provide support to the Outcome Study, and other data, as assigned.Maintains good communication with the Utilization Review, Business Office, and other staff as indicated.Your Experience Matters What we're looking for:Education & Licensure (if applicable): Bachelors' degree preferred.Experience: Experience working in a hospital intake department or business office preferred.Your Care Matters What we provide for our team:Cafeteria on site + discounted mealsEmployee engagement eventsEmployee assistance programEmployee recognition programFree parkingWhat sets us apart?Career & training development opportunitiesDynamic and inclusive work environmentEngaged management team dedicated to your successA guiding mission and set of values that serve as both our north star and yours, anchoring our collective purpose and aspirationsDisclaimer: Select benefits are available to full-time positions only.
