Intellectual Property Associate Attorney
Intellectual Property Associate Attorney
A well-established law firm is seeking an IP Associate to join their growing IP practice. This position can be based out of Portland, ME, Boston, MA, or Portsmouth, NH.
Responsibilities:
Handle patent prosecution matters from application drafting through prosecution.
Work closely with clients and attorneys to understand complex technical and legal issues.
Draft and prosecute patent applications involving technologies such as medical devices, electronics, robotics, and related technologies .
Prepare clear, technically accurate legal documents and client communications.
Analyze complex technical concepts and translate them into effective patent strategies and written materials.
Collaborate with attorneys and clients on intellectual property matters and contribute to the continued growth of the practice.
Qualifications:
2–4 years of patent prosecution experience in a law firm environment.
Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Physics, or a closely related technical field .
Experience with patent matters involving medical devices, electronics, robotics, or similar technologies .
Strong academic background.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Strong technical and legal writing skills.
Ability to explain complex technical and legal concepts clearly to clients and colleagues.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
