A law firm seeks an Intellectual Property Attorney with a strong background in the medical device sector to join their team in Seattle, WA. The candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience and may work remotely to some extent. The role involves working with various medical device technologies, including surgical and robotics-assisted devices.
Duties
Draft and prosecute medical device patent applications in the U.S. and internationally.
Conduct freedom-to-operate and patentability analyses.
Perform due diligence and handle patent procurement services.
Manage patent portfolios effectively.
Requirements
Minimum of five years of relevant experience.
Experience with medical device technologies, including surgical and robotics-assisted devices.
Strong analytical and writing skills.
License in good standing in the resident state.
Registration before the USPTO.
Education
Undergraduate and/or graduate degree in mechanical engineering preferred.
Certifications
USPTO registration required.
