Job Overview
A law firm seeks a Patent Attorney with an Electrical Engineering or Physics background for its Electrical patent preparation and prosecution practice in Cincinnati, OH. This full-time position offers a hybrid work environment.
Duties
Prepare patent applications.
Evaluate and respond to office actions (US and international).
Conduct opinion work.
Participate in client and Patent Examiner interviews.
Conduct legal research.
Engage in litigation activities and other projects.
Requirements
Three or more years of patent preparation and prosecution experience.
JD from an accredited law school.
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Physics (or related field).
Admission to the United States Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO) and/or the State of Ohio Bar (other state registrations considered).
Education
JD from an accredited law school.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics.
Certifications
State Bar admission.
USPTO registration.
Skills
Strong legal research and writing skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in patent application processes.
