The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Epic interoperability solutions, healthcare integration technologies, FHIR, RESTful APIs, and healthcare data exchange standards.

This role requires strong technical troubleshooting skills, a deep understanding of interoperability frameworks, and the ability to deliver scalable integration solutions that improve clinical and operational outcomes. The Epic Interface Integration Analyst will collaborate with application teams, vendors, business stakeholders, and external partners to support both traditional HL7 integrations and modern API-driven interoperability initiatives.

Collaborate with application teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to define interface requirements and resolve integration-related issues.

Coordinate interface testing, cutover planning, and go-live activities to ensure successful deployments.

Partner with interface engine developers to design data translation and transformation logic supporting EHR and third-party system integrations.

Support integrations between Epic and internal or external applications using both traditional and modern interoperability methodologies.

Participate in the evaluation, design, and implementation of interoperability solutions that support real-time clinical and operational data exchange.

Production Support & Troubleshooting

Monitor production interfaces proactively and drive permanent resolution of interface issues through root cause analysis and corrective action.

Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to HL7 messages, FHIR resources, APIs, authentication mechanisms, and data exchange workflows.

Serve as an escalation point for complex integration and interoperability issues.

Analyze integration workflows and data to identify opportunities for optimization, automation, and improved performance.

Ensure integration solutions comply with organizational security, privacy, and data governance requirements.

Documentation & Process Improvement

Develop and maintain interface documentation, testing plans, support procedures, and technical specifications.

Create and maintain integration architecture documentation and data flow diagrams.

Support system upgrades, application enhancements, and interoperability initiatives.

Contribute to best practices and standards for interface development, support, and monitoring.

Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support evolving organizational needs.

Experience working with RESTful APIs, JSON, XML, web services, and healthcare interoperability technologies.

Demonstrated experience troubleshooting and supporting healthcare interoperability solutions in production environments.

Experience coordinating testing, implementation, cutover, and go-live support activities.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
