Job description
Recruiter - Accounting, Finance, and Digital Transformation - Consulting and Permanent Placement
We are working with a private company in the Baltimore Metro area with an international presence that needs to hire an interim accounting manager to help with reporting, month-end close, and fixed assets.
Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end oversight of financial processes, including recording journal entries, reconciliations, financial reporting, and revenue
Knowledge of fixed asset accounting
Proficient in developing Excel schedules and financial workpapers
Perform and review balance sheet account reconciliations, resolving any discrepancies
Provide analytical review and fluctuation analysis to support periodic activity
Identify internal control gaps and implement controls within the finance, business, or accounting organizations to ensure accurate financial reporting
Review new business contracts and assess their operational and accounting impact
Experience in researching and documenting support for accounting conclusions
Provide direct support to external auditors during walkthroughs, testing of controls, and substantive testing
Ability to work independently with close attention to detail
