Overview
Interim Accounting Manager - CPG Our client, a rapidly growing consumer packaged goods company, is seeking an Interim Accounting Manager to support its expanding portfolio of food and beverage products. The position is 100% remote. This engagement has an expected duration of 3-6 months.
Responsibilities
Manage all core accounting operations, including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition.
Lead the monthly close process, ensuring accurate, complete, and timely financial reporting.
Maintain balance sheet integrity with a focus on inventory accounting and reconciliations.
Design, implement, and enhance financial systems, internal controls, and scalable processes to support growth.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements.
Partner with supply chain teams to deliver actionable financial insights tied to production, sourcing, and inventory movement.
Identify financial risks and opportunities in collaboration with business leaders.
Support external audit preparation and controllership activities.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across accounting processes and reporting workflows.
Requirements
7+ years of hands-on accounting experience within the Food & Beverage or broader CPG industry.
CPA required.
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, inventory accounting, and cost accounting.
Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems.
Proven ability to lead accounting operations in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco by Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors, including but not limited to: the individual\'s skill sets, experience, and training; licensure and certifications; office location and other geographic considerations; other business and organizational needs.
With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco by Highspring notes that the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company\'s 401(k) retirement plan.
