Interim Assistant Principal — Amherst Regional High School
Position: Interim Assistant Principal
Location: Amherst Regional High School
Term: 2026–2027 school year
Bargaining unit: Amherst-Pelham Administrators Association (APAA) - Full Year Schedule
Reports to: Principal
Amherst Regional High School is seeking an Interim Assistant Principal for the 2026–2027 school year. This is a full year assignment ending on June 30, 2027. The Assistant Principal works with the Principal and school leadership team to support teaching and learning, student success, and a safe, welcoming school environment.
The Interim Assistant Principal supports instructional improvement; responds to student and family concerns; addresses student conduct and attendance; helps coordinate school operations and initiatives; and supervises and evaluates teachers, clerical staff and paraeducators in accordance with District procedures. Specific responsibilities will be assigned by the Principal.
Qualifications
Massachusetts DESE licensure as a Principal/Assistant Principal at the secondary level, or eligibility for the appropriate licensure or waiver.
Experience supporting students, staff, and instructional practice in a secondary school.
Strong communication, judgment, and organizational skills.
Commitment to equitable practices and a school culture in which all students can thrive.
Compensation: In accordance with the APAA collective bargaining agreement.
