Job description
A leading real estate investment and asset management organization is seeking an experienced Senior Tax Manager on a contract basis to support its tax function during a critical transition period. This consulting opportunity offers exposure to complex tax provision work, collaboration with external advisors, and direct partnership with senior tax leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and update supporting schedules used in the quarterly and annual tax provision process.
Prepare and analyze Return-to-Provision calculations and related workpapers.
Support tax compliance activities performed by external advisors.
Respond to tax-related information requests and inquiries from external tax consultants.
Review tax return data and provide support for provision-to-return reconciliations.
Assist with the preparation of the overall tax provision package.
Partner closely with Tax leadership on high-priority projects and reporting requirements.
Work extensively with large datasets and complex Excel workbooks.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Tax, or related field.
CPA preferred.
6+ years of corporate income tax experience.
Strong tax provision experience required.
Experience supporting outsourced tax compliance processes.
Advanced Excel skills required, including working with large datasets and complex analytical schedules.
Ability to work independently and quickly ramp into a fast-paced environment.
Real estate industry experience is a plus.
ASC 740 income tax provision experience.
Partnership and corporate tax exposure.

the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
