Job Summary: Minnwest Bank is seeking a full-time Business Banking Associate for our St. Cloud location. As a member of the "front of the house" team, Business Banking Associates (BBAs) have a critical role in providing knockout customer experience and ensuring that our customers are our first priority. BBAs facilitate the interaction between the customer and bankers (officers, loan operations, analysts, etc.) to ensure the customer receives a rapid response, an error-free process, consistent communication, and a professional experience that is both friendly and positive. As a front-line position, you are the face of the bank to many of our customers.
You will be expected to communicate well, be professional in all your activities, be optimistic and constructive in your dealings, and demonstrate tenacity and drive in solving customer issues. You must enjoy being "on stage" all the time and consistently provide a great customer experience. You hold an important role in developing strong and professional relationships with our customers, which includes gathering feedback and being the voice of the customer when service, product, or process improvements are needed. You will play an important part in ensuring that Minnwest is the best bank in the market.
Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
Provide exceptional service to customers, serving as a knowledgeable and responsive point of contact for loan-related questions and requests
Partner with Ag and Commercial Lenders, Credit Analysts, Loan Operations, and customers to gather financial information and support an efficient lending process
Coordinate the loan workflow from initial requests through closing and post-closing activities including ordering title work, flood determinations, appraisals, UCC searches and other required documentation
Prepare loan input worksheets, order and review loan documents, and ensure information aligns with approved loan terms
Support loan closings and post-closing activities including lien perfection, UCC filings, disbursements, advancements, wires, and payment of applicable fees
Maintain accurate and organized customer and loan files in accordance with established procedures, documentation standards, and retention requirements
Process loan checklists, eligibility documentation, paid note files, constructions draws and other ongoing servicing needs
Monitor required ticklers and follow-up items to ensure documentation and customer needs are addressed accurately and timely
Research and assist in resolving system, documentation, or processing issues and identify opportunities to improve the customer experience
Collaborate across the Business Banking team to provide timely, accurate, and consistent support, including assisting team members as needed
Identify opportunities to connect customers with additional bank products and services that meet their financial needs
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent
2 years of previous loan operations, loan processing, or loan department experience
2 years of customer service experience
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate with customers in a professional manner
Effective time management skills including the ability to prioritize workload based on department and customer needs
Intermediate level computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications:
2-year associates degree
3 years loan operations, loan processing, or loan department experience
Experience with commercial and/or ag loan
Ability to identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products and services
Schedule: Monday - Friday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Workplace Environment:
Requires face-to-face interaction and coordination of work with customers, other employees and departments, and in-person interaction.
Working at a computer and utilizing a telephone
Occasionally lifting up to 50lbs
Pay Range: $20.77- $23.36/hour
The pay range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. The salary range represents anticipated base pay for this role. The actual pay offered will consider internal equity and may vary based on factors including but not limited to work location, candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.
