Intermediate Care Unit Specialist
MLR (MLee Recruiting) is seeking a dedicated full-time Intermediate Care Unit Specialist to join a committed team at a well-respected acute-care hospital near Abilene, Texas!
Salary Range: $84,830 - $102,982 annually
Primary Duties
Patient Monitoring: Consistently observe and evaluate patients' vital signs and health status, promptly addressing any changes in condition.
Clinical Assessment: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' medical status and recovery, recording observations and updating the healthcare team as necessary.
Work Schedule: Night shifts with adaptable hours.
Medication and Treatment Delivery: Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed, adhering strictly to medical protocols.
Care Coordination: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and healthcare staff to develop and implement personalized care plans for each patient.
Emergency Response: Act quickly in medical emergencies, delivering essential care and performing life-saving actions as required.
Qualifications
RN License
CPR-BCLS Certification (to be completed by end of orientation)
ACLS Certification (to be completed by end of orientation)
NIH Stroke Scale Certification (to be completed by end of orientation)
Proficiency with computer data entry
Skilled in the use of therapeutic medical devices
Maintains a professional appearance and conduct at all times
Deep understanding of the nursing process and established care standards
Able to handle sensitive and confidential information with care
