nToday’s thriving companies realize the necessity of managing business risk. As an intern on the IT Audit team, you will help clients identify and manage that risk and improve IT processes and controls. Key services performed by the IT Audit team include System Organization Control (SOC) 1, SOC 2, and SOC 3 attestation engagements and IT controls design and operating effectiveness assessments for financial audits.
nAs a part of the IT Audit team, you will gain valuable experience and use your critical thinking abilities to help clients solve problems and apply your social skills to build rewarding business relationships. As a trusted advisor, you will remain informed on the latest information technology trends and emerging risks that impact our clients. Alongside Forvis Mazars senior staff and management personnel, you will work with clients in a variety of industries as you develop your technical skills and strengthen the foundation on which you will build your career.
nHow you will contribute:
nnDemonstrating an understanding of IT controls associated with applications, databases, operating systems, networks, and reporting tools
nPerforming IT general control audit procedures including walkthroughs and testing of IT general controls for areas such as change management, logical security, computer operations, cybersecurity, etc.
nWorking with client personnel to gain an understanding of IT processes and controls, obtain audit evidence, and analyze testing results
nDelivering Forvis Mazars’ commitment to unmatched client experience through timely and responsive communication with internal and external clients

n nMinimum Qualifications:
nnPursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting, information systems, computer science or related discipline.
nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
nMaintaining a GPA of 3.0 or higher (in major and overall)

nNew York City Pay Transparency
nPursuant to the pay transparency laws of New York State and other local ordinances within the state including (but not limited to) New York City, the salary range displayed is for the New York markets. The salary for this role will be based on the experience, education, and skill set of the individual for the position. Total compensation and benefits consist of salary, group health plan benefits, 401(K), profit-sharing contributions, flexible time off, and parental leave. Forvis Mazars reserves the right to make changes to the salary range based on business needs.

nNew Jersey Wage Transparency
nPursuant to New Jersey’s Pay Transparency Law, the salary range displayed is for the New Jersey market. The salary for this role will be based on the experience, education, and skill set of the individual for the position. Positions that are non-exempt will be eligible for overtime pay compensable at a rate of one and a half times the hourly rate for any hours worked over 40 in a work week. Benefits are eligibility-based and could include group health plan benefits, 401(K), profit-sharing contributions, flexible time off, and parental leave. Forvis Mazars reserves the right to make changes to the salary range based on business needs.
