Internal Auditor Sr
nThe Senior Internal Auditor job serves as a team member on more complex audits, working under the direction of audit leadership and management. Under minimal supervision, this job works on problems of diverse scope performing highly confidential and/or complex financial, operational and integrated audits using the organization's risk based internal auditing methodology.
nKey Responsibilities and Duties
nnnDevelops detailed audit plans, including objectives, scope and testing approach for assigned audits. Documents the audit results which include comments on the adequacy and effectiveness of the risk management framework, processes and internal controls being audited
n
nnMay act as the lead expert in the group on critical business areas, processes, systems and/or regulations.
n
nnReviews and evaluates more complex control structures to determine the adequacy of internal controls, operating efficiency and customer service.
n
nnSelects methods and techniques for performing audits and evaluating results.
n
nnNetworks with senior personnel within the business unit and across groups to gain needed information, identify risks and issues, and influence outcomes.
n
nnParticipates in discussions with senior management when communicating audit results and recommending actionable solutions.
n
nnUtilizes advanced Microsoft Excel skills and working knowledge of data analytics and other relevant tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Python) to perform effective and efficient audits.
n
nnCollaborates with and leverages data analytics and information technology specialists, as appropriate, to identify and implement advanced testing methods to identify trends, discrepancies and anomalies.
n
nnInvolved in activities such as the preparation and execution of detailed programs for audits, the review of complex financial, operational, compliance and risk systems, processes and procedures to determine efficiency, effectiveness and alignment with internal policies, procedures, regulations and industry standards.

n nMinimum Qualifications
nnn3+ years of Audit experience
n
nnExperience as an Auditor in Banking, Financial Services, Financial Crimes Compliance and/or Commercial Lending
n
nnProven ability to review and evaluate complex controls
n
nnExperience leading an audit and designing a robust audit test plan of key controls
n
nnGreat verbal and written communication skills
n
n nPreferred Qualifications
nnn5+ years of experience as an Internal Auditor
n
nnExperience as an Auditor in Banking, Financial Services, Financial Crimes Compliance and/or Commercial Lending
n
nnBSA/AML experience
n
nnAdvanced MS Excel skills and working knowledge of data analytics.
n
nnProven ability to identify and implement advanced testing methods.
n
n nEducational Requirements
nnUniversity (Degree) Preferred
